    shespullingthetrigger asked:

I have extremely bad heartburn and I can’t quite figure out what it is that is making me have such bad heartburn. I take Tums, and it helps immensely, but what is causing it?

What other foods should I avoid for heartburn?

Some women have bad heartburn during pregnancy, i did really bad with my first, nothing that really caused it but just the fact that pregnancy symptoms did. Spicy, greasy foods and caffine made mine jump high.

With me I found that acidy things like tomatoes and orange juice made it worse also chocolate. Sometimes I don’t think there was a particular trigger at all and it was just simply eating at all that upset it.

you should limit consumption of things high in acidity (some fruit juices, spicy foods, etc.)

It could be any food if you are really far a long and the baby is high. But with my four, orange juice, star burst candy, potato chips(from the grease), any spicy meat (like in tacos), any spices period, caused the worst heartburn. And remember, the more you lay your head level, the easier it is to “get” heartburn. Don’t eat for at least 3 hours before you go to bed…that will help some. Good luck!

A permanet relief from heartburn should involve healing open sores in the esophagus and / or lower esophageal sphincter, and remedying the underlying causes of acid reflux. I would recommend you not to put restriction on your food or drinks. It is possible to relieve heartburn completely in just as short as 5 days.

May I offer a complete remedy for heartburn: I would recommend you have a look at this site which offers a truly effective home remedy which gives permanent relief from heartburn.

      Best luck with your pregnancy.
